Purpose The purpose of the Alamo Chapter of theTexas Association for Play Therapy is to provide a forum for the discussion of play therapy ideas and concerns.
Provide We wish to provide a common meeting grounds for those individuals involved or interested in the therapeutic use of child's play.
Enhance We seek to enhance the health, safety and well-being of children and to inform and educate the general public about the Play Therapy profession.
Welcome The Alamo Chapter of the Texas Association for Play Therapy is a nonprofit Texas Corporation.
We are proud to represent The Association for Play Therapy (APT), a national professional society established in 1982, which fosters contact among mental health professionals interested in exploring and, when developmentally appropriate, applying the therapeutic power of play to communicate with and treat clients, particularly children.
Our meetings, which include training opportunities, are held on the second
Mondays of even numbered months.
